After five years in production, this full colour, high quality publication has now established itself as the main source of reference for anyone wanting information on the wide range of sporting and leisure activities of Barbados and with extensive distribution on island and worldwide, it is also an important medium in attracting people to the island.

Golf at Sandy LanePacked with vibrant colour and exciting all action photographs, this year's publication carries an innovative Brian Talma Action Map in which the internationally acclaimed 'Irie Man' highlights the best surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing spots around the island. Sporting Barbados has built its reputation on easy-to-read interesting editorial and this year is no exception with readers treated to four special themes embracing Barbados on tour, on a golf course, on horseback or on the water!

Virtually every sport and leisure activity is included but with so much happening on the island the editors have wisely given these themes special emphasis.

Published by local firm Hiltop Publications Ltd, Managing Director and Editor Pamela Hiles believes Sporting Barbados 2002 is the best to date;

Sailing"Every year we seem to get better and better and I'm sure readers will enjoy the superb sporting photographs and the many interesting features in this edition. I must also mention Brian Talma's zanny Action Map which adds a new dimension to our watersportts coverage and gives visitors invaluable information on the island's water sports from a world class performer.

These are trying economic times but I am also delighted the Barbados Tourism Authority and so many Barbadian companies and hotels have taken a positive approach to the future, shared our vision and supported this free publication which markets Barbados worldwide as a top sporting destination. We thank them sincerely for their support and hope that our joint enterprise will make a significant contribution to better times ahead."
