Badminton is a sport that is enjoying a fresh wave of popularity. The Badminton Association has invested heavily into the development of a youth programme with work camps, fulltime coaching and international competition. The Association also works closely with the National Sports Council with the schools badminton programme in primary and secondary schools. These initiatives have not only brought many young players into the sport, they will help preserve it for the future and produce the next generation of top players.

The senior players aspire to compete in top international tournament like the Pan American Games, The Central American and Caribbean Games, the Commonwealth Games and World Federation tournaments.

The Association has visionary and ambitious plans to build its own badminton centre and in the short-term to resurrecting the Caribbean Regional Championships.
