WARRI is an ancient Egyptian board game that was played amongst the tribes living along the Nile Valley thousands of years ago.  It was brought to the Caribbean by African slaves and still exists in small pockets in Barbados, largely because of the enthusiasm of Lee Farnum-Badley, one of the game’s leading exponents.  Lee not only provides expert tuition, but he also makes authentic Warri boards which can be purchased to take home.  Warri has been called the Rolls Royce of mind games because of the mystique surrounding its origins, but according to its Barbados guru it is lots of fun to play.
