Over 200 anglers and 30 boats take part in the flagship event on the fishing calendar, the International Fishing tournament.  The event is centred on the excellent facilities at Port St. Charles and staged over a weekend.  Many visiting boats participate, as the prizes are excellent from a well-sponsored promotion that is meticulously organized and delivered by the Barbados Game Fishing Association Committee.  Special prizes are on offer for record catches and the prize list covers female and junior anglers.  The Association has just celebrated its 50th Anniversary and it continues to grow from strength to strength in modern times.
