Named in honour of the greatest Barbados sporting icon of all time, the Sir Garry Sobers Golf Championship has been going for over ten years and is getting bigger and bigger. Last year it had a record number of entrants and a 72-hole championship with Apes Hill as the host venue. Over 280 players participated across a number of flights for both men and ladies including a large number of overseas visitors. Both amateurs and professionals compete, and one of the competitions greatest assets is the value for money.
The tournament is spread over four days and staged at four top 18-hole courses. Sponsored by Digicel, one of the top sports sponsors in the region, all entrants get the opportunity to play at four top courses for a modest cost plus entertainment packages and excellent prizes.
