Each entrant will receive a Swim Cap, helmet number, bike numbers, race bib, race tattoos and a disposable mask.
N.B. a race belt will be required to wear the race bib on the bike and the run.
Registration process:
Your age on 31st December 2023 is your race age.

Start:
5:00 am transition opens (will be called to transition based on assigned start wave)
5:45 am transition closes
6:00 am Try-a-Tri (400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run)
6:15 am Olympic Distance race
6:30 am Sprint Distance & Relay Teams (rolling wave starts 3 minutes apart)
Course Maps:
Announcement: A new course layout was adopted in 2020, the bike and run courses will not overlap as in previous years.
The bike loop will be 4km and will go up the hill and make a 180 degree turn at the entrance to Paradise Beach.
The run course will between the turn off to the flour mill and Rhianna Drive. Each run loop will snake for 2.5km.
The transition layout will be determined once the final number of entries is determined.

Tide Forecast: The predicted tide times for Sunday, 22 October 2023 for Bridgetown, Barbados are: first high tide at 2:05 am, first low tide at 8:10 am, second high tide at 2:17 pm. Sunrise is at 5:50am and sunset is at 5:35pm.

Race Briefing:
The Athletes Race Briefing will be held via Zoom online on Saturday 21 October 2023 (evening before the race) at 4:30PM.
The race briefing will explain all three sections of the race course and transition area.
Participation in the race briefing is mandatory, failure to attend will result in a 5 minute penalty.

The Volunteers Briefing will be held via Zoom on Saturday 21 October 2023 (evening before the race) at 5:30PM.

Course Familiarisation will be held at the race site on October 21 between 9 am and 11 am. Race packets will be distributed at this time. No biking is allowed on the race course at any time prior to the race or at the course familiarisation.

Race Rules:
Numbers must be fixed to the bike and shirt as approved by the Race Director (bike frame post & front of body for the Relay runners.
All competitors will self mark on arm & legs.
All repairs during an event shall be performed by the individual racer.
Racers must complete the event on the same bicycle upon which he/she began the event.
Any repairs or changes must be done with equipment carried by the individual racer.
This event is not Draft legal.
All competitors must attend the virtualrace briefing and must familiarize themselves with the course. Time penalty of 5 minutes will be assessed for not attending the briefing.
Any Foul riding, unsportsmanlike behaviour or abusive languages may result in warning, penalties, relegation, and/or disqualification.
Cyclist failing to stay left of middle of road may be warned, penalized, relegated, and/or disqualified.
Any modified instructions shall be verbally announced at the race briefing, repeated 15 minutes before the start of the race and shall apply to that race.
The Race Director’s & Race Referee’s decisions are final.
Other standard WT rules also apply, in particular:
a. Approved hard helmet; b. Enclosed shoes on bike; c. Jersey or top (no bare torso).

Try-a-Tri – ½ lap +2 laps = 10km
Olympic – 10 laps = 40km
Sprint & Relay – 5 laps = 20km
- Run – 1 Lap = 2.5km
Try-a-Tri – 1 lap = 2.5km
Olympic – 4 laps = 10km
Sprint & relay – 2 laps = 5km
