The Barbados Tennis Association will be hosting the Barbados Junior International Championships, a junior world ranking Grade 4 tournament at the National Tennis Centre, Wildey, St Michael from March 26-31, 2012.

This event which is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the world governing body of tennis will be its 18th successive year, and is open to boys and girls in under 18 and under 14 age groups with entrants playing in both singles and doubles divisions.

In past years, the tournament has attracted many overseas players from numerous countries across the world.  Players have come from not only the English, French, Dutch and Spanish Caribbean, but also from North, South and Central America, eastern and western Europe, the Far East, Africa and Australia and are joined by about 40 local junior players all hoping to earn ITF ranking points.
