Barbados Tridents continued their dominance of the Limacol CPL with their
fourth successive victory over the St Lucia Zouks at the Queen's Park Oval
in Trinidad and are now in the semi-finals to be played later this month on
the same ground. Dwayne Smith (48) and skipper Kieron Pollard (34no) were
the batting heroes in a formidable 175-6 total before bowling out the Zouks
for only 92. Elsewhere the T & T Red Steel recorded their first win with a
narrow 3 runs victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors on Friday evening after
Irish opener Kevin O'Brien hit a blistering 70.
The Tridents now play Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday evening in the
build-up to the finals with the Warriors needed a victory to keep their
hopes alive.
