The visitors may have outnumbered the locals at Kensington Oval for the second Twenty20 match between West Indies and England but it was Darren Sammy who won the day with a magnificent onslaught late in the day. Earlier Krismar Santokie took four wickets as England recovered from the loss of three earlier wickets with Alex Hales (40) and Jos Butler (67) the heroes of the hour, but a late order collapse saw them finish on 152-7, which always seemed 20 too light. That was confirmed when Chris Gayle (36), Dwayne Smith (30) and Marlon Samuels (28) got the reply off to a tremendous start and the West Indies appeared to be coasting to a comfortable victory with eight overs to go. But then it all went wrong and England took control after some reckless shots and good catches in the outfield left the batting team struggling in the final overs. But enter Captain Marvellous who hit 30 off just nine balls and the Windies romped home by three wickets with one over to spare.
The third game takes place on Thursday with England fighting for their pride and the West Indies looking for a three-match clean sweep.
