The FEI Dressage World Challenge was held this weekend at the Congo Road Equestrian Center.  The best local dressage riders presented themselves to FEI judges; Jeanne McDonald from Pennsylvania and Omar Zayrik from Mexico for the opportunity to compete on an international scale for Barbados. 
 
The Barbados FEI 2022 Team is:
 
Mackenzie Manning on Ruveyda
Roberta Foster on Holiday
Gina Hunte on Vivaldi
Amelie Beattie on Man in Black
 
Mackenzie Manning gained an exceptional score of 78.282% in the Prix St. George.  Roberta Foster gained 68.333% in Senior 2.  Gina Hunte received 66.745% in Senior 1.  Amelie achieved 69.768% in the Youth test in her very first FEI competition.  These scores will go forward to represent Barbados as it competes with the rest of the world.
 
International judge Jeanne McDonald said “there has been a huge improvement in riding in the last 10 years.”
 
In addition to the team, international tests were ridden by Adrianna Watson on Soca Kid and Paige Tryhane on Bo in the Senior 1; Mackenzie Manning on Ruveyda in the I1 and Isla Domenge on Vanity and Maxence de Leusse on Man in Black in the Youth test. 
 
Several national classes were presented by Roberta Foster on Chichic, Gina Hunte on Vivaldi, Zoe Thornton on Flying South, Tammy Pinto on Valentino, Adrianna Watson on Soca Kid, Gerdine de Vries on Valentino, Lori Brathwaite on Royal Diadem, Rylee Pinheiro on Clover Lucky Chance and Marlie Pinheiro on Man in Black and Rasmus.
