- 2008 Formula OneTM World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, to battle it out with Top Gear aficionado Richard Hammond –

- F1 Car Hot Laps, Car Football and the Ultimate Motorsport Showdown, 17-18 May 2014-

(22 April, 2014) - Top Gear Festival Barbados is edging closer and closer, and the much anticipated details of what racing hero Lewis Hamilton will be up to at the inaugural event can now be revealed.

Visitors to the newly renovated Bushy Park Circuit should prepare to be amazed as Lewis and the incredible line up of drivers and cars are pushed to their absolute limits throughout the action-packed weekend.

Here’s what to expect:

·       Celebrating his debut appearance at a Top Gear Festival, Lewis Hamilton will christen the newly renovated Bushy Park Circuit with hot laps in the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula OneTM car. Marvel at Lewis burning some serious rubber on the new track

·       In the challenge of all challenges Lewis, one of the hot F1 title favourites, will race against Richard Hammond. That’s right, the Top Gear presenter is attempting to take on one of the fiercest competitors in the world and the winner of this year’s Malaysian, Bahrain and Chinese Grands Prix. What’s more, Richard will be taking Lewis on in his Formula One car, while he is driving a road-going Mercedes AMG

·       In a motoring crusade to remember, Top Gear Festival Barbados brings you the Ultimate Motorsport Showdown. In the battle of the fastest, a Le Mans car, a group B rally car, an 80’s F1 car, a Supercar and an F1 car will all compete for the speediest of accolades

·       Finally, for the first time ever, Lewis Hamilton will be taking part in Top Gear’s favourite pastime, Car Football. This highly competitive ‘sport’ will see Jeremy, James and Richard go head-to-head against an all-star team. Little cars are great for nipping around town, but the question on everyone’s lips in Barbados will be; can you play football with them?

Those who would like to visit Top Gear Festival Barbados to witness some of the greatest cars and motorsport stars on earth are advised to book their tickets as soon as possible.

Club House tickets and the VIP Marquee tickets are already sold out for Sunday 18 May, 2014. General admission tickets are on sale for both days and priced at BBD$75 (approx. £22). Club House tickets and VIP Marquee tickets are available for Saturday 17 May only, and priced at BBD$200 (approx. £59) and BBD$500 (approx. £149) respectively.
