As preparation work for the Race Of Champions moves into high gear, Bushy Park Circuit Inc (BPCI) has rolled out a new logo, which reflects not only the identity of the facility, but also of its Caribbean island location. ROC Barbados (December 13/14) is the second world-famous event to be staged at the St Philip venue this year, bringing with it Champions from around the world . . . and an influx of business for the island.
Neil Barnard, a partner in 809 Design Associates, which has worked with BPCI on the new identity, said: “The primary reason for the redesign is to better visually position and promote Bushy Park as an attractive motor racing circuit destination to the wider international motor sport community and as a multi-purpose event venue that is located on a Caribbean island.
“The new identity for Bushy Park reflects the circuit as well as Barbados the destination. The new colours - Navy blue, yellow and turquoise - are representative not only of our National colours, but also of the island’s natural surroundings. The logo consists of a relaxed, modern friendly font and encompasses a new icon that depicts a stylized chequered flag that is proportioned like that of Barbados’ National Flag.”
The logo was first seen on Monday (October 20) on the circuit’s web site and Facebook page (www.bushyparkbarbados.com and www.facebook.com/BushyParkCircuit).
