It was a bad day for the Barbados rugby team at the Garrison on Saturday when the visiting Trinidad and Tobago team ended their hopes of World Cup qualification. The local guys had a great first half against the wind and they looked like they were going to reduce the deficit and go on to win the game but unfortunately they ran out of steam and the lively Trini backs tore through their defence to score two vital tries. The visitors won 17-6 and will face Guyana in the play-off to go through to the next stage.
It is back to the drawing board for coach Stuart Copeland, but the Bajan team has plenty of talent and they can bounce back next year.
